Barnsley 'targeting free agent Crainey'

Barnsley are reportedly targeting former Wigan Athletic defender Stephen Crainey.

The Scotland international is available on a free transfer after his contract with the Championship outfit expired at the end of last season.

Tykes boss Danny Wilson is keen to add the left-back to his squad, but faces competition for his services, according to Sky Sports News.

Barnsley were relegated from the Championship last season after finishing in 23rd place in the table.
