Barnsley capture Pedersen

Barnsley this evening announced the season-long loan signing of Norwegian striker Marcus Pedersen from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.

The 23-year-old joined Vitesse back in 2010 for more than a £1m but has since struggled with injuries and been loaned out to Danish side Odense and Valerenga in Norway.

He has made two appearances at international level for Norway, making his debut against South Africa earlier this year.

After three games of the new Championship season, Barnsley sit 23rd with one point.
