Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas believes that Memphis Depay could be tempted to stay at the club if their pursuit of Ligue 1 glory ends up proving successful.
As things stand, the 27-year-old will become a free agent this summer and can already enter talks with other clubs amid persistent links with Ronald Koeman's Barcelona.
However, Lyon are firmly in the title race as they sit third in the Ligue 1 table - three points adrift of leaders Lille - and Aulas thinks that domestic silverware would help convince Depay that the Groupama Stadium is the place to be.
Speaking to AFP, the 71-year-old said: "For Memphis, I dream that he accepts our proposal, which is still relevant.
"He brings so much, he has been directly involved in 23 league goals this season. The offer will stay there and, if we are champions, why not?"
Depay has scored 14 goals and assisted nine more in 29 Ligue 1 matches for Lyon this term - only Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe boasts more top-flight goals - and he has amassed a total of 69 goals and 52 assists in 168 matches for Les Gones since arriving in 2017.
