Lautaro Martinez's agent Beto Yaque claims that Inter Milan received no firm offers for the highly-rated forward during the summer transfer window.

The agent of Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has revealed that the Serie A side received no concrete offers for the highly-rated Argentine over the summer.

Martinez burst onto the scene in the 2019-20 campaign as he registered 21 goals from 49 outings for Antonio Conte's men, which led to talk of the 23-year-old becoming Luis Suarez's successor at Barcelona.

The Argentina international was persistently linked with a move to Camp Nou all throughout the summer, but Martinez's representative Beto Yaque has since claimed that no bids were tabled for the £90m-rated forward, despite it being his "dream" to play alongside compatriot Lionel Messi.

"The move to Europe has made him improve, has enhanced his qualities and today he is one of the players who are playing at the highest level," Yaque told TNT.

"He is enthusiastic about the team and playing alongside Messi is a dream for him. Many things have been said about Lautaro's possible transfer, there have been many rumours. Everyone wanted him but there was nothing concrete.

"He still has three years left on his contract, the transfer window has just closed, we haven't sat down yet to talk about the renewal with Inter.

"He is playing at a great level, last season was excellent for him and it is normal that he has attracted the attention of the great European clubs."

Martinez already has three goals to his name from three Serie A appearances this term, and the striker is under contract at San Siro until the end of the 2022-23 season.
