Report: Celta Vigo want Atletico Madrid's Luciano Vietto

Celta Vigo are reportedly keen on signing Atletico Madrid striker Luciano Vietto.

The Argentine earned himself a move to Atletico last summer after hitting 20 goals in 48 appearances during an impressive first season in Spanish football with Villarreal.

The forward has only managed three goals in 28 appearances for Diego Simeone's side, however, and according to AS, Celta will attempt to test Atletico's resolve with a bid in this summer's transfer window.

It has also been reported that Vietto has a strained relationship with Atleti boss Simeone.

Celta finished sixth in the La Liga table during the 2015-16 campaign, just four points off the Champions League positions.
