Enrique Cerezo: 'Unhappy players can leave'

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says that the capital outfit will not keep unhappy players at the club.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has insisted that the capital outfit will not keep unhappy players at the club.

Despite winning La Liga and reaching the Champions League final last term, a host of Atletico's first-team squad have been linked with departures.

Cerezo was calm when approached about the topic, however, with the Spaniard insisting that Atletico will always move on from departures.

"Players play where they want to play and if there's a player who is under contract and wants to play for another team, they already know what they need to do, activate their release clause and leave," he told reporters.

Leading scorer from last season Diego Costa is reportedly close to joining Chelsea.
