Team News: Angel di Maria left out of Real Madrid squad for Super Cup second leg

Angel di Maria has been omitted from the Real Madrid squad for their Spanish Super Cup second leg with Atletico Madrid as speculation over his future continues.

Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed this week that the Argentine has asked to leave the club this summer, with Manchester United showing interest in him.

Reports have claimed that the relationship between Di Maria and the club has deteriorated over the past 24 hours, and Sami Khedira, who has also been linked with a move away, is also left out at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.

Cristiano Ronaldo is only fit enough for a place on the Real bench, having limped off at half time during the 1-1 first-leg draw on Tuesday, in which James Rodriguez scored his first goal for the capital outfit.

The £63m Colombian World Cup star replaces Ronaldo in Ancelotti's lineup this evening, and there are also starts for Raphael Varane and Fabio Coentrao in place of Marcelo and Pepe.

Atletico, who grabbed a crucial away goal at the Bernabeu courtesy of Raul Garcia's late equaliser, make two changes as Antoine Greizmann and Tiago come in for Mario Suarez and Saul.
