Diego Simeone pleased with Antoine Griezmann performance

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has praised Antoine Griezmann after the Frenchman scored twice in Saturday's 4-2 win over Cordoba.

Griezmann netted a goal in either half at the Vicente Calderon and Simeone believes that the former Real Sociedad attacker will take huge confidence from his performance.

"He's been working very hard and his growth is due to his daily work. He played a complete game in every aspect, not just goal-scoring," Simeone told reporters after the match.

"There are plenty of valid arguments as to why he played the game we've been expecting from him."

Mario Mandzukic and Raul Garcia were also on the scoresheet for Atletico in the La Liga encounter.
