Raul Garcia: 'I received a call from Arda Turan'

Raul Garcia has revealed that he received a 'scream' from Atletico Madrid teammate Arda Turan before the Turkish international scored the winner against Real Madrid on Saturday evening.

Juanfran delivered a cross from the right in the latter stages of the La Liga clash at the Bernabeu and it did appear that Garcia would have a strike on goal.

However, the midfielder stepped over the cross at the final minute, allowing Turan to approach the ball and curl his effort into the bottom corner.

"I was going to hit it because I had to but I heard Arda. He screamed and I left it," Garcia told Marca.

"There were times when, due to one thing or another, we failed to play our game and things turned out well.

"We didn't come out as we have trained in the week and at half time we corrected things and we came out and did the right things."

Atletico have taken seven points from their first three league games of the new season.
