Fernando Torres wants Atletico Madrid extension

Spanish forward Fernando Torres reveals that he wants to extend his stay at Atletico Madrid, with his current loan from AC Milan expiring at the end of the season.

Spanish forward Fernando Torres has revealed that he is desperate to sign a new deal at Atletico Madrid.

The 31-year-old initially represented Atletico from 1995 until 2007, before moving on to the Premier League with Liverpool and then Chelsea.

Torres returned to Atletico in January, but he is still contracted to AC Milan, who as it stands, will expect the Spaniard back at the end of this season.

The experienced striker, however, has revealed that he wants to extend his stay at the Vicente Calderon.

"It's no secret that I want to stay at Atletico. When we sit down to negotiate if the club feels the same way it will be easy," AS quotes Torres as saying.

Torres has scored five league goals since returning to Spain.
