Half-Time Report: Atletico Madrid in control of Copa del Rey tie

Atletico Madrid score twice in the first half of the first leg of their Copa del Rey last-32 tie with Sant Andreu.

Atletico Madrid have a 2-0 lead at half time in the first leg of their Copa del Rey last-32 tie against Sant Andreu this afternoon.

Raul Garcia broke the deadlock just 13 minutes into the contest, tapping in from a Filipe Luis delivery at the far past.

The visitors were able to double their advantage eight minutes later as Arda Turan slotted home from a low cross from Javi Manquillo.

Turan had a chance to add his second, but saw his effort blocked at the last moment, while Adrian smashed a strike into the side netting.

The home side managed to keep hold of the ball well towards the end of the opening 45 minutes, but created few first-half chances.
