Antonio Luna joins Hellas Verona on loan

Aston Villa defender Antonio Luna will spend the season on loan with Italian side Hellas Verona.

Aston Villa have announced that Antonio Luna has joined Serie A side Hellas Verona on a season-long loan.

The defender joined the Premier League side last summer and was a regular starter in the first half of the season, but struggled for playing time after the New Year.

The Italian side will have an option to buy the 23-year-old at the end of his loan.

Luna made 18 appearances for Villa last season, scoring on his debut against Arsenal on the opening day of the season.
