Jordan Veretout excited ahead of Midlands derbies

Jordan Veretout has revealed his excitement as Aston Villa prepare for two Midlands derbies in the next week.

Tim Sherwood's men host West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, before turning their focus to the League Cup third-round clash with Birmingham City.

After making the switch from Nantes in the summer, Veretout insists that he is fully aware of how important the games are to Villa supporters.

"It's very big here, I can tell," the Frenchman told reporters. "The Birmingham game is big. I'm already really excited about that game."

Veretout has made three appearances in all competitions since arriving at Villa Park.
