Tim Sherwood praises attitude of Shay Given, Brad Guzan

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood reveals that he has been impressed with the attitude shown by goalkeeping duo Shay Given and Brad Guzan.

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has insisted that goalkeeper Brad Guzan can still earn a recall to the side before the end of the campaign.

Sherwood dropped the American in favour of Shay Given for the 3-2 win over Everton, but despite making the alteration, Sherwood has revealed that he has been impressed with the attitude of both his goalkeepers since his arrival at the club.

The 46-year-old told the club's official website: "It's not easy with two good goalkeepers. When one gets left out, it is up to the other to show he is good. Shay's attitude is first class and Brad's attitude has been great as well.

"The other weekend, I spoke to Brad and said I would play Shay. I expected him to have the same attitude as Shay and that's exactly what I've got from him. The door is not closed for Brad Guzan though."

Villa could potentially move five points clear of the drop zone with victory against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
