Paul Lambert positive despite Aston Villa's run of four straight defeats

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert remains upbeat, despite his side losing their last four Premier League games.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has insisted that he has no concerns about his team, despite recording four straight defeats in the Premier League.

The Midlands have outfit lost to Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton in their last four league outings, but Lambert remains upbeat ahead of next Monday's trip to face Queens Park Rangers.

"Our start has been really good," Lambert told the club's official website. "We've had a run on games where it's been gruelling.

"We didn't play well enough to win the football game against Everton but the progression from last year in the side is massive.

"We've got a really good side. I think if you play at the level we have been playing, taking out Saturday, then we'll win more games than we lose."

Villa are currently 12th in the league table.
