Aston Villa trio fined

Aston Villa players Fabian Delph, James Collins and Chris Herd have all been fined by the club following a late night out in Birmingham on Monday.

All three players have been fined for their actions and have sinced issued an apology.

Collins said: "I know I have let myself down, I've let the club down, I've let the manager down and most of all the fans."

Midfielder Delph admitted: "I didn't hit or strike anyone but I should not have been there and I was wrong to be in this position."

Youngster Herd said: "It was no-one's intention to get involved in any trouble but I realise that my actions on the night were not acceptable."

Alex McLeish's side face Tottenham Hotspur in a crucial Premier League match on Saturday.
