Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly attempting to sign Reading forward Danny Loader before the close of play on Thursday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly made a late attempt to sign Reading forward Danny Loader before the end of the summer transfer window.

Despite having made four additions, as well as confirming the permanent signings of Leander Dendoncker and Raul Jimenez, Wolves remain active in the market on deadline day.

While there have been suggestions that a new centre-back or central midfielder remain on Nuno Espirito Santo's agenda, it appears that an effort is being made to strengthen their forward line.

According to Get Reading, Wolves are looking to win the race for Loader, who has less than a year remaining on his contract at the Madejski Stadium.

The 18-year-old has already made 23 first-team outings for the Royals, the latest of which came in the starting lineup as his side lost out to Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship last weekend.

Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with the teenager.
