West Ham 'confident of permanent Jenkinson deal'

West Ham United are reportedly optimistic that they can nab Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal on a permanent deal this summer.

The England Under-21s international impressed on loan at Upton Park last season, making 36 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Hammers co-chairman David Gold recently confirmed that his side were "working very hard" to push through a transfer, although it remains unclear whether Arsenal will allow the full-back to leave on a full-time basis.

According to The Mirror, however, West Ham remain confident of striking a deal in the coming weeks to bring Jenkinson back to East London beyond the end of 2015-16.
