Luca Toni has urged Fiorentina teammate Stevan Jovetic to think carefully before moving to Arsenal.
The Montenegro international has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent months, while Manchester City and Chelsea are also thought to be interested.
However, Toni believes that joining the Gunners would not be a step up for the 23-year-old.
"I tell him to think carefully before leaving Florence, as there is an important project here," the striker is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"If he has to leave, then make it for a real top club.
"Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United fit that bill, but Arsenal are not better than Fiorentina."
Jovetic recently admitted that he was flattered by the reported interest from Arsenal.
