Report: Arsenal eyeing Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic

Arsenal are preparing to smash their transfer record with a summer swoop for Fiorentina striker Steven Jovetic, according to the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old has reportedly been on Arsene Wenger's radar for the past 18 months but this scouting process has intensified in recent weeks.

Jovetic is said to be valued at around £20m, which the Frenchman is said to be willing to match to secure the striker's services for next season.

Any move for the Montenegro international could depend on whether Arsenal qualify for the Champions League, by finishing in the top four of the Premier League.

Jovetic has scored 12 goals for Fiorentina in Serie A this season.
