Lukas Podolski hints at FC Koln return?

Striker Lukas Podolski admits that he would love to once again play for FC Koln, the city where he was born.

Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has suggested that he could one day return to former club FC Koln, who were promoted to the Bundesliga last season.

Podolski recently returned to the city of his birth and also hinted at a return as he dedicated Germany's World Cup win to the people of Koln.

"Unfortunately I wasn't able to bring the trophy along with me, but I won it also for FC Koln and the city," he told Rundschau Online. "You are also world champions.

"Only re-joining Cologne would be more amazing than this, but I shouldn't say too much or else I'll get myself into bother. I've just got to bring myself back down to earth."

Podolski has scored 47 goals in 116 appearances for Germany.
