Lille winger Nicolas Pepe to sign for Arsenal 'in next 48 hours'

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe will allegedly complete a transfer to Premier League outfit Arsenal within the next 48 hours.

Arsenal are reportedly on the brink of sealing the transfer of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

Despite suggestions of a limited budget for the summer window, claims emerged over the weekend that Arsenal were prepared to spend big in order to win the race for Pepe.

A structured £72m deal appears to work for both parties, leaving Napoli to miss out on adding the Ivory Coast international to their squad.

According to La Voix Du Nord, Arsenal are likely to seal the signing of the 24-year-old on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

The report suggests that only a late approach from Paris Saint-Germain could potentially prevent the attacker from making the switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Pepe contributed 22 goals and 11 assists in Ligue last season.
