Lukas Podolski to join Galatasaray

Galatasaray have confirmed that Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski will complete his transfer to the club this afternoon.

The 30-year-old will sign his contract with the Turkish champions after completing a medical, following weeks of speculation over his future.

The German international has found his playing chances limited at the Gunners and he failed to start a single Premier League match last season before being sent out on loan to Inter Milan in January.

However, he managed to score just one goal in Serie A for the Nerazzurri and left the club following the end of their campaign.

Podolski has made 125 appearances for Germany, scoring 48 goals.
