Koscielny wants Arsenal stay

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny is reportedly ready to snub interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona, committing his long-term future to Arsene Wenger's side in the process.

Koscielny has been persistently linked with a move away from the Emirates in recent weeks, with the centre-back's agent fuelling speculation by admitting that Barca and Bayern were both monitoring his progress.

The French international has told Wenger that he is happy with life in North London and wants to stay next season, according to The Sun.

A strong central defensive partnership formed by Koscielny and Per Mertesacker during the second half of last season helped Arsenal finish fourth in the Premier League, pipping bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur to a Champions League place in the process.

The 27-year-old has spent three seasons with the Gunners, after joining from Ligue 1 side Lorient for a fee of £8.5m in 2010.
