Burnley sign young midfielder Renny Smith from Arsenal

Teenage midfielder Renny Smith has joined Burnley after his departure from Arsenal.

The 18-year-old Austrian youth international has signed a three-year contract at Turf Moor.

Smith suggested that it would be a little while yet before he is ready to impact the first team.

"Burnley are a team that want to get back to the Premier League and hopefully in future years I can add something to the squad," he told the club website.

Smith joined Arsenal's youth set-up from Chelsea in 2012-13 and was a regular for the Gunners' Under-18s last season.
