Arsenal's Thomas Partey deal 'worth £110m'

Arsenal reportedly face the prospect of shelling out £110m over the course of Thomas Partey's four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The signing of midfielder Thomas Partey will reportedly cost Arsenal as much as £110m over the next four years.

The Gunners announced on Monday evening that they had finalised a deal for the Ghana international, who was able to leave Atletico Madrid after the £45m release clause in his contract was triggered.

However, The Mirror claims that the North London outfit face the prospect of paying out £110m over the duration of his contract.

As well as being handed a £2.5m signing-on fee, it is claimed that Thomas is also being paid £260,000 per week at the Emirates Stadium.

Those suggestions come within 24 hours of Arsenal announcing that they had parted ways with long-time mascot Gunnersaurus because of 'cost-cutting measures'.
