Arsenal are reportedly planning to sign five new players during this summer's transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly planning to sign five new players during this summer's transfer window, with head coach Mikel Arteta set to be handed funds to overhaul the squad.

The Gunners are currently ninth in the Premier League table and are facing the possibility of missing out on European football during the 2021-22 campaign.

Arteta, though, appears to have the support of the club, with the Spaniard likely to be given at least part of next season to show improvement.

According to football.london, despite the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak, the North London club are planning to sign five new players in a summer overhaul.

The report claims that a goalkeeper, a left-back, a right-back, a central midfielder and an attacker could all arrive at the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming market.

Meanwhile, it is alleged that a new forward may arrive if Eddie Nketiah or Alexandre Lacazette move on this summer in search of pastures new.

Arsenal recorded a 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night and will now be looking to finish their season with victories over Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion.
