Arsenal are in advanced negotiations with Juventus over a loan deal for midfielder Arthur, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Juventus over a loan deal for Arthur.

The 25-year-old joined the Old Lady from Barcelona last September and has made 43 appearances for the Italian giants in all competitions, contributing one goal in the process.

Arthur has made 11 appearances at club level this season but has only featured on three occasions in Serie A since the end of October, with the Brazilian down the pecking order in Turin.

Arsenal are looking to sign a new midfielder during the January transfer window, and a recent report claimed that Arthur had been placed on a three-man shortlist.

According to RMC Sport, the Gunners are now in advanced talks over a loan deal for the South American, who is set to move to the Emirates Stadium until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

Arthur, who still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract with Juventus, made 72 appearances for Barcelona before arriving in Italy.
