Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have shown the strongest interest in Basel defender Fabian Schar, according to the player's agent.
Italian side Inter Milan have recently been linked with a move for the 21-year-old, who made his debut for Switzerland in a 1-1 draw with Brazil in August.
However, his representative Dimitrios Papadopoulos has played down interest from the Nerazzurri.
"Inter is a great club with a great history, any player would be happy to play there," he told Internews.it. "But today we have had more contact with English and German clubs, not with those from Serie A.
"He is happy at Basel, where there is a great atmosphere."
Schar joined Basel from FC Wil 1900 in July last year before representing his country in the London Olympics.
