Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Everton

It is payback time for Arsenal on Wednesday night, as the Gunners renew hostilities with Sean Dyche's Everton at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.

The Toffees' pragmatic head coach beat Arsenal 1-0 in his first game in charge earlier this month, but Mikel Arteta's side have since responded with back-to-back wins over Aston Villa and Leicester City.

Success over the latter on Saturday - thanks to Gabriel Martinelli's strike - temporarily lifted the league leaders five points above Manchester City, although that gap has now been cut back down to two points courtesy of the champions' 4-1 thrashing of Bournemouth.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Toffees, who have dropped back into the relegation zone thanks to a 2-0 defeat to Villa at the weekend.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: March 12 (vs. Fulham)

Gabriel Jesus continues to make great strides in his recovery from knee surgery and is "pushing the boundaries" according to Arteta, but the Brazil international is yet to rejoin his teammates for training and will need to wait a little longer to make his comeback.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Mohamed Elneny, who was recently rewarded with a new one-year contract, has also gone under the knife to address a severe knee injury and will likely be out for the remainder of the campaign.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
