Arsenal's Jack Wilshere: 'Our team spirit has put us on top'

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere believes that the Gunners' team spirit has played a major role in their success so far this season.

The England international has revealed that the players have been bonding on and off the pitch over the last six months.

"[Our team spirit] is massive," Wilshere told the club's official website. "We've been out a few times. We didn't do it for a couple of years but over the last six months we go out for team dinners and we meet up outside of football, which is good for the team.

"We've done really well this season and towards the end of last season. I think the team spirit plays a massive part in that."

Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League table, two points ahead of Liverpool.
