Robin van Persie named Player of the Month

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for October.

The Dutchman scored seven times for the Gunners, including a hat-trick against Chelsea in a 5-3 win at Stamford Bridge.

Van Persie's goals have helped Arsenal move up into seventh place in the Premier League table after a poor start to the season.

The North London side host West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
