Joel Campbell eager to return to Arsenal next season

Joel Campbell believes that he is ready to return to Arsenal and make an impact with the first team next season.

Joel Campbell has confirmed his intention to return to Arsenal when his loan spell with Olympiacos finishes at the end of the current season.

The 21-year-old, who scored as Olympiacos beat Manchester United 2-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday, has not made an appearance for the Arsenal first team since signing in 2011.

"As soon as Arsenal came, I wanted to join them and I believe I am ready to play for Arsenal next season," Campbell told reporters before the win over United.

"I know I have the capacity to play there. I am only waiting for the opportunity. With hard work I know I can get there.

"United showed an interest in me when I was moving to Europe but I have been an Arsenal fan since I was a child and that's why I chose them."

Campbell has also spent time on loan at Lorient and Real Betis in recent seasons.
