Aubameyang: 'PL title tilt complicated'

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang concedes that a Premier League title challenge could prove "complicated" for Arsenal this season but believes that trophies can still be won.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that a Premier League title challenge could prove "complicated" for Arsenal this season but believes that silverware is more than achievable.

The Gunners have begun a new era this term, with Unai Emery at the helm following the departure of previous long-serving manager Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal's season began with a 2-0 home loss to reigning champions Manchester City on Sunday, and Aubameyang is aware of the challenge ahead in terms of a league title tilt.

"Collectively, we want to play every competition to the maximum," Aubameyang told ESPN. "We can't hide. It would be great to end the season with one or more trophies.

"The league is obviously the priority because it has been a while since Arsenal won it. It will be complicated, though, and we know that.

"Personally, I want to contribute as much as possible with goals and assists. I don't have a figure in mind but I really [think] it will be a very good season like the ones I had in the past at [Borussia] Dortmund."

As well as the Premier League, Arsenal will be competing in the EFL Cup, the FA Cup and the Europa League.
