Arsenal reportedly make plans for Arsene Wenger's potential exit from the club this summer.

Arsenal reportedly have an "exit strategy" in place should Arsene Wenger decide to step down as manager this summer.

The Frenchman penned a new two-year deal with the Gunners last summer after much uncertainty over his future, but has been tipped to call it quits halfway through that deal if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League again.

According to the Daily Mail, the most likely scenario is that Wenger will see out his contract but the club have plans ready in case he goes earlier than expected.

The newspaper also claims that they want the issue of Wenger's long-term future decided this summer in order to avoid uncertainty and will either tie him down to an even longer-term deal or make the announcement that he will leave in 2019.

Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League table and eight points adrift of fourth spot but, should they not qualify for the Champions League through the league route, they can still earn a spot in the competition by winning this season's Europa League.
