Crystal Palace and Arsenal have played out a 2-2 draw in Sunday's Premier League clash at Selhurst Park.

Luka Milivojevic gave Palace the lead from the spot just before half time, but Arsenal were ahead by the hour mark after goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal appeared to be on course for victory, but a second Milivojevic penalty seven minutes from time earned the Eagles a deserved share of the spoils.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match in the Premier League between Crystal Palace and Arsenal. With many of their rivals still to play, Arsenal have a chance to gain an advantage in the standings, but can Palace end their poor run at Selhurst Park?

Before we continue to build-up to this fixture, we are of course bringing you coverage of the tragic events which occurred at the King Power Stadium last night. You can keep up-to-date with any developments by clicking here.

Without further ado, let's bring you the two starting lineups from this match, beginning with the home side...

CRYSTAL PALACE XI: Hennessey; Wan-Bissaka, Sakho, Tomkins, Van Aanholt; Milivojevic, Kouyate, McArthur; Townsend, Ayew, Zaha

CRYSTAL PALACE SUBSTITUTES: Guaita, Kelly, Schlupp, Riedewald, Puncheon, Meyer, Sorloth

ARSENAL XI: Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Xhaka; Torreira, Guendouzi; Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette

ARSENAL SUBSTITUTES: Cech, Lichtsteiner, Sokratis, Ramsey, Smith Rowe, Mkhitaryan, Welbeck

Palace boss Roy Hodgson has seemingly opted to throw caution to the wind this afternoon and it comes as little surprise given their recent goal drought. The one change to the team comes in attack as Jordan Ayew is introduced for Jeffrey Schlupp.

That should result in Palace going with three in the final third, with Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha playing either side of Ayew. Alexander Sorloth has had to make do with a place among the replacements, while Christian Benteke is currently sidelined with a knee injury.

Hodgson has decided to go with the same defence and midfield, despite his team succumbing to a late defeat to Everton last weekend. There's a solid look to the middle of the pitch with Luko Milivojevic, Cheikhou Kouyate and James McArthur all featuring.

Let's turn our attention to Arsenal now as Unai Emery opts to make six changes to the side which got the better of Sporting Lisbon on Thursday night. As expected, Mesut Ozil comes back into the starting lineup, but it is Aaron Ramsey who drops down to the substitutes' bench.

Granit Xhaka will feature at left-back due to injuries to Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac, and with Emery opting to keep Stephan Lichtsteiner on the substitutes' bench. Rob Holding has got the nod over Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the centre of defence.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could have potentially began this game on the bench due to starting against Sporting, but the Gabon international will line up on the left side of midfield with Alexandre Lacazette playing down the middle.

As far as the bench is concerned, there is a place for Emile Smith Rowe. The 18-year-old was not involved in the Europa League, but the teenager is in contention for a first outing in the Premier League. Petr Cech also returns having recovered from a hamstring injury.

This is Arsenal's captain for the afternoon. If he can reproduce his form from the Leicester City game on Monday night, Palace could be in trouble...

No team has ever gone more than five successive matches without scoring a home goal in the Premier League, but Palace will match that if they fail to find the back of the net this afternoon. Tottenham Hotspur are to come in their next Selhurst Park fixture, so it does not get any easier!

Scoring has proven to be a problem away from home too. In total, Palace have netted just three times in their eight most recent outings in the top flight.

Hodgson's side are still awaiting their first goal from a set piece as well. Milivojevic could have ended that sequence last week had he not had a penalty saved by Jordan Pickford.

Hodgson is also not a fan of facing Arsenal in the Premier League. You have go back a decade and a stretch of nine games for his last victory against the North London outfit. That came when he was with Fulham.

Let's turn our attention to Arsenal now and the Gunners are attempting to win their 12th successive game in all competitions. However, it has not been that long ago since they last reached that many victories in a row, with that streak also occurring in 2007.

The same can be said regarding winning streaks in the Premier League. Emery is hoping to lead his side to their eighth successive victory, which was last achieved towards the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

While Palace cannot buy a goal, Arsenal have endured no such problems. They have netted 12 away from home this season, which is the best return in the Premier League.

There was a bit of criticism for Aubameyang earlier in the season, but the Gabon international has been sensational since linking up with Arsenal in January. He has posted a return of 16 goals and five assists from 22 top-flight appearances.

PREDICTION! Arsenal will not have had long to prepare for this match following their Europa League exertions, but the Gunners are on a wonderful run, and we fancy them to put another victory on the board at Selhurst Park this weekend. Arsenal to prevail by a 2-1 scoreline.

HEAD TO HEAD! Today's fixture represents the 44th time that these two clubs have met in a competitive match, with Arsenal claiming 28 victories in comparison to just four wins for Palace.

The teams have squared off on just 12 occasions since 1998, with Arsenal winning all but two of those contests!

However, Palace did register a quite brilliant triumph as recently as April 2017 as Townsend, Cabaye and Milivojevic all got on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win.

Arsenal did manage to get their revenge last Christmas. Palace were level after an hour but two goals in four minutes from Alexis Sanchez - who was making one of his last outings before leaving for Manchester United - helped the Gunners claim a 3-2 success.

Before we get going, a quick reminder that you can also follow our coverage of Chelsea's encounter with Burnley at Turf Moor by clicking here. Both Arsenal and Chelsea start the afternoon on the same points and are looking to overtake Manchester City, who sit in second place. We will provide you with updates as and when possible if you stick with this game.

It's time for the two clubs to start making their way out at Selhurst Park. Palace's supporters have not had much to cheer at their own ground this season, but they sound up for trying to inspire their team to a positive result this afternoon.

A reminder of the two starting lineups...

CRYSTAL PALACE XI: Hennessey; Wan-Bissaka, Sakho, Tomkins, Van Aanholt; Milivojevic, Kouyate, McArthur; Townsend, Ayew, Zaha

ARSENAL XI: Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Xhaka; Torreira, Guendouzi; Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette

KICKOFF:  Palace get us underway!

It has been a sharp start from both teams with the ball being fiercely-contested in the middle of the park.

Arsenal are really compact in the centre of the pitch, and they are also adopting that approach when trying to claim the ball off Zaha. The winger has already been given opportunities to work his magic, but the Gunners are dealing with him well.

Zaha carries the ball down the left and Bellerin and Mustafi are soon onto the scene. However, they are both left struggling to make a challenge and Palace eventually win a corner.

YELLOW CARD!  Arsenal defend two set pieces really well and quickly launch a counter, which is ended when Ayew mistimes a tackle on Lacazette. Easy decision for the referee.

We are still awaiting the first shot in this game but it has been anything but dull. Palace look a threat going forward, but they look susceptible to counter-attacks, especially in wide areas.

This is the first time that Torreira and Guendouzi have been paired together but already, you can see that they could become an effective partnership in front of the Arsenal back four. It's freeing up Ozil and co to place pretty much all of their focus at the other end of the pitch.

We think that this was supposed to be a cross, but it turns out to be a bad one which turned into a shot. Iwobi's first-time effort was supposed to find a teammate at the back post, but it went over the crossbar with pace.

OFF THE POST!  Palace come so close to an opener! A cross from the right goes all the way through to Zaha on the far side of the penalty area. The winger takes his time before attempting to find the near corner, but his strike clips the post and goes wide.

CHANCE!  The home side squander an even better opportunity! Van Aanholt reaches the byline and finds Townsend with his cutback, but the Englishman sends a first-time effort from 10 yards wide of the near post.

That flurry has certainly made Arsenal sit up and take note. It's a couple of minutes of possession football from the Gunners.

It's quietened down a touch now, although Ayew needs to be careful. He nearly committed to a late tackle on Torreira, despite being on a yellow card.

CHANCE!  Milivojevic loses the ball no more than 25 yards from his own goal and Arsenal almost take full advantage. Iwobi helps the ball to Lacazette, but the Frenchman's low effort from the edge of the box goes just wide of the far post.

LATEST! There has been a goal in the fixture at Turf Moor, with Alvaro Morata putting Chelsea into the lead. Is the Spaniard starting to find a bit of form?

Palace respond by winning a corner at the other end of the pitch, but Arsenal deal with it well. The visitors have looked strong when it has come to defending set pieces.

The home side win another set piece, but Leno comes out well to punch clear. Zaha is starting to come back into the game after a quiet period out on the left.

We move through the half-hour mark and aside from almost capitalising on a Palace mistake, we have not seen that much of Arsenal in an attacking sense. Are they feeling a bit laboured after what has been a busy week?

Wan-Bissaka has become somewhat of a crowd favourite since breaking into this Palace side and the right-back gets a huge cheer when sliding in to successfully tackle Iwobi.

Xhaka is finding himself in a few tasty exchanges out on the left but so far, he is acquitting himself well in an unfamiliar role.

There's not been a whole lot to report over the past five or six minutes. Palace are trying to play at a high intensity but Arsenal have been comfortable for the large part. The energy levels of the visitors could prove to be a huge factor in who prevails in this match.

We've not seen much of Ozil this afternoon. The German was superb against Leicester on Monday evening, but Arsenal just haven't got him on the ball in this match.

Palace think that they should be awarded a penalty when Ayew is clipped by Mustafi when running across the German, but it is accidental. Ayew doesn't complain too much.

Just the three minutes to go in this first half. Despite being second best, Arsenal will be content to reach the break on level terms, should they be able to do so.

PENALTY!  Palace are awarded a penalty! Mustafi mistimes a challenge on Kouyate after a corner and it is a definite spot kick. Big chance here for Milivojevic, who missed from 12 yards last week...

GOAL!  Crystal Palace 1-0 Arsenal (Luka Milivojevic)

This could be perceived as the perfect penalty or extremely fortunate. Milivojevic rolls the ball JUST inside the left post, sending Leno the wrong way.

HALF TIME:  Crystal Palace 1-0 Arsenal

The half-time whistle goes at Selhurst Park and Palace deservedly lead thanks to that spot kick from Milivojevic. Arsenal have offered very little in the final third and they look a little leggy, which isn't a huge surprise having already played twice this week.

Palace's goal came after Arsenal had finally failed to deal with one of many corners for the home side. Simply put, Mustafi panicked when Tomkins was about to shoot and after the ball had rolled through to Kouyate, he dived in and fouled Kouyate.

Arsenal's only real opportunity of the first half came after Milivojevic had given away the ball on the edge of his own area, but Lacazette could only fire wide from 20 yards. It wouldn't come as a huge surprise if Emery shakes things up before the restart.

Emery has opted to make a change with Lichtsteiner being introduced for Bellerin. Bit of a surprise that one.

KICKOFF:  Arsenal get us back underway.

Arsenal have spent the opening minutes of the second half content to spray the ball around, and the move eventually comes to an end when Iwobi's cross is deflected into the path of Hennessey.

Iwobi gets into a similar position and this time, his delivery is better with Wan-Bissaka having to get across to make an important clearance in the six-yard box.

GOAL!  Crystal Palace 1-1 Arsenal (Granit Xhaka)

Wowzers. Arsenal win a free kick on the corner of the area and it's perfect for a left-footer from Xhaka. The Swiss takes the shot on and his powerful strike goes into the far corner via the inside of the post. Hennessey got a hand to it but it simply had too much power on it!

Palace attempt to hit straight back and get a couple of crosses into the penalty area, but the Arsenal defence deals with the danger.

GOAL!  Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal (Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang)

What a turnaround! An inswinging corner is flicked on by Lacazette - by his hand as he was having his shirt tugged - and Aubameyang was there at the back post to prod the ball over the line.

Hodgson will be fuming because his side have been undone by two set pieces, but there isn't a lot that his team could have done. Handball should have been given against Lacazette. It was definitely intentional, and it proved to be decisive.

LATEST! There has also been another goal at Turf Moor, and Chelsea have now doubled their advantage against Burnley courtesy of a long-range Ross Barkley strike.

SUBSTITUTION! Palace make their first change with Meyer coming on for McArthur.

Tensions threaten to boil over as Lichtsteiner goes through the back of Zaha, but the pair soon shake hands. The referee opts against a booking.

SUBSTITUTION! Another alteration for Palace sees Sorloth introduced for Ayew.

OFF THE POST!  This isn't really a chance, but the ball still struck the woodwork. Meyer was attempting to get the ball back across goal, but his attempted pass hit the angle between post and bar.

LATEST! Chelsea have wrapped up the points at Burnley. Willian has got the third for the Blues.

SUBSTITUTION! Arsenal make a second change as Ozil is replaced by Welbeck. Ozil has also thrown his gloves into the dugout...

Meyer has been lively since being thrown on by Hodgson and Zaha is getting himself involved again. However, Palace are struggling to force Leno into any work between the sticks.

Arsenal are doing a solid job of managing this game, but the introduction of Welbeck suggests that Emery is keen for a third goal. It's a risky strategy when holding a slender lead.

Palace make a mistake on the edge of their own area - not for the first time today - and it gives Iwobi a chance to shoot. However, Sakho is able to deflect the Nigerian's effort wide of the post.

The home side are having plenty of possession, but the pace of their play is not quick enough and it something which Milivojevic is quick to notice. Palace need to improve during these closing stages.

SUBSTITUTION! Arsenal make their third change with Ramsey being introduced for Aubameyang.

Less than 10 minutes to go now and while Palace are attempting to rally, nothing they are trying is coming off.

PENALTY!  Palace win another penalty! Zaha gets on the ball and takes on Xhaka, who dangles a leg out and Zaha takes the invitation to go over it. It's probably the right decision, just.

GOAL!  Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal (Luka Milivojevic)

Milivojevic has certainly made amends for last week! The Serbian powers the ball to Leno's right for a second time and the crowd erupts! Game very much on here.

The mood at Selhurst Park has certainly changed. The home supporters would have been delighted with a draw a few minutes ago, but they want their team to push for all three points now. They are doing just that as well.

SUBSTITUTION! Palace make a final change as Puncheon is introduced for Kouyate.

There will be four minutes of added-on time.

Xhaka gets the chance to fire another free kick from goal - this time from a central position around 35 yards out - but the Swiss's effort goes well over the crossbar.

FULL TIME:  Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal

The full-time whistle goes at Selhurst Park and the two teams have to settle for a share of the spoils, with 2-2 probably being a fair result. Arsenal will be disappointed not to claim all three points and it leaves Emery's side in fourth place. Palace have moved into 14th spot.

That will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us this afternoon and we hope that you can stick around for our coverage of El Clasico and the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Everton.
