Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Vitoria de Guimaraes

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Europa League encounter with Vitoria de Guimaraes.

Arsenal continue their Europa League campaign with the second match of their double-header with Vitoria de Guimaraes, which is being staged on Wednesday afternoon.

Having won each of their opening three matches in Group F, Arsenal know that one more victory will be enough to earn a spot in the last 32 of the competition.

However, aware that the Gunners could benefit from qualifying as group winners, Unai Emery will be keen for his players to avoid any complacency against the bottom side in the group.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Arsenal ahead of the fixture in Portugal.

Granit Xhaka

Status: Out
Type of injury: Other
Possible return date: November 9 (vs. Leicester City)

As a result of his angry outburst to supporters cheering his substitution against Crystal Palace, Xhaka has been stripped of the club captaincy. Emery has also confirmed that the midfielder will not be involved on Wednesday.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 6 (vs. Vitoria)

Nelson has spent the last few weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury, which was expected to keep him out until after the international break. However, the young Englishman is part of the 18-man squad which has made the trip to Portugal.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players who are absent through suspension for the game on Wednesday.
