Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Arsenal will seek to build on their first Premier League win of the season when they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners scraped past Norwich City 1-0 at the weekend to get off the mark for the season at the fourth attempt, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netting the only goal of the game at the Emirates Stadium.

On a day where Arsenal could only find the back of the net once from 30 attempts, some of the same old issues were still evident for Mikel Arteta, but his side can at least head to Burnley with a renewed sense of optimism.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 26 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Mohamed Elneny suffered a hamstring injury in a friendly win over Brentford during the international break, and the midfielder is facing a race against time to return to action before the end of the month.

Rob Holding

Rob Holding did not take part in the weekend's victory over Norwich due to a bruised knee, and the defender will not be in contention to feature at Turf Moor either.

Granit Xhaka serves the second of a three-game domestic ban following his red card against Manchester City, but he is only due to return to the UK this week after testing positive for coronavirus during the international break.
