Carlos Tevez delighted to be back in Argentina squad

Tevez delighted with Argentina return

Carlos Tevez has expressed his delight at having been recalled to the Argentina squad for tomorrow's friendly against Croatia at Upton Park.

The Juventus striker has spent more than three years in the international wilderness, but was handed a call-up by new national manager Gerardo Martino earlier this month.

Tevez, who has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season, admitted that he had missed playing international football and hopes to impress Martino should he feature in London.

"When you are not in the squad, you always miss it, but I am not stupid and I knew earlier was not the right moment to be back," Tevez told newspaper Ole.

"I'm very happy to be back. I take it as a prize for this present time in my career. To me, it has more value than in past times. There is a new coach and I hope I can do well."

Tevez will be returning to a former ground having spent the 2006-07 season with West Ham United.
