Fabrizio Ravanelli lauds "extraordinary" Guillermo Ochoa

Ajaccio coach Fabrizio Ravanelli has described Guillermo Ochoa's display against Paris Saint-Germain last night as "extraordinary".

The Mexican keeper made a string key saves to frustrate PSG until the closing stages of yesterday's match at the Parc des Princes, following an early strike from Ajaccio midfielder Benoit Pedretti.

A late equaliser from Edinson Cavani eventually spared the Italian's blushes, but Ravanelli has insisted that his side's battling display in the 1-1 draw was nothing short of heroic.

"Ochoa was extraordinary and he saved everything," Ligue 1's official website quotes him as saying. "He showed his quality and he he's an extraordinary player as well as being an extraordinary person.

"He's incredibly humble, always the first to arrive for training and the last to leave. That makes it normal that he puts in such incredible performances. We were heroic and I'm very proud of my team.

"We worked really well from a tactical point of view and didn't allow their central midfielders to settle. That said we have to be honest and recognise the superiority of Paris. This was a good point for us. Since I've been at the club my players have been extraordinary."

The Italian is still looking for his first win in charge of the Corsica side, which continues at home to Nice this weekend.
