Christian Bracconi: Ajaccio cup defeat "depressing"

Christian Bracconi admits that Ajaccio's season is "depressing" with the club now out of the Coupe de France.

Ajaccio coach Christian Bracconi has admitted that losing in the round of 32 to Ligue 2 opposition at home to Caen on Tuesday night was a "depressing" experience.

The side from Corsica are currently bottom of Ligue 1 with just nine points, and Bracconi said that the next few months will be "hell" for his team.

"This was another step towards hell for us," Ligue1.com quotes Bracconi as saying. "It's all rather depressing. If we look to the future, we will realise that we are going to have four months of hell.

"In the first half, we were never really put in danger but you could already feel that there was cause for concern. In the second half we lost our organisation; we were just all over the place.

"We were lacking in all areas. We are unable to play two matches in four days. I put the team that I think is the best. When I see those who come off the bench, it just shows that I am right."

Ajaccio have won just once in 21 league games this season.
