Scottish L1 roundup: Cove Rangers drop points at Clyde

David Goodwillie's goal for Clyde denies the second-placed team.

Cove Rangers missed the chance to put the pressure on Scottish League One leaders Falkirk after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Clyde.

A win for Rangers would have moved them within one point of the summit but Connor Scully's 76th-minute opener was cancelled out by David Goodwillie's leveller for the hosts.

Falkirk remain top of the table but suffered a surprise 2-1 loss away to Airdrieonians in a tale of two penalties.

Alistair Roy put the home side ahead before Charlie Telfer equalised towards the end of the first half.

Aidan Keena had the chance to put Falkirk back in front from the penalty spot, but saw his effort saved and Dale Carrick made him pay when he converted from 12 yards late on.

Partick Thistle have dropped out of the top four at the expense of Airdrieonians despite Brian Graham's double rescuing a point at East Fife.

Ryan Wallace and Kevin Smith netted early for the Methil side to put them two up but Graham struck a brace during the final 18 minutes to ensure it finished level.

Martin Scott scored in the 86th minute to earn basement club Forfar a 1-1 draw at home to Peterhead.

Hamish Ritchie put the visitors into the lead just past the hour mark and Steven Boyd failed to double their advantage from the penalty spot in a dramatic finale before Scott's goal nicked a potentially precious point.

Dumbarton are in the bottom two with Forfar after a goalless stalemate on home turf with play-off chasers Montrose.
