Serie A club-by-club transfer latest: July 3

Sports Mole takes a look at the latest transfer news and speculation from Serie A.

The transfer window is officially open for business in Europe and a number of clubs have started to splash the cash ahead of the new season.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the latest rumours from Serie A and the deals that have already been completed this summer.

AC Milan

The big news for AC Milan this week has been the departure of former World Player of the Year Kaka. The 32-year-old has completed a move to new MLS side Orlando City, but first he will join Sao Paulo on loan until January 2015.

The rumours surrounding Mario Balotelli's future continue and it has recently been reported that the striker is desperate to join Arsenal, after fans blamed him for Italy's exit from the World Cup.

Atalanta

Earlier this week, Atalanta agreed terms with Bologna to bring Nicolo Cherubin to the club on a two-year loan deal.

They have also been linked with a move for Paulinho, but the Livorno player is believed to be high on the list of targets for a number of other Serie A clubs.

Cagliari

Cagliari have agreed terms with Atalanta over the permanent transfer of goalkeeper Simone Colombi. They have also been linked with a loan move for Milan shot-stopper Michael Agazzi, but Sampdoria and Sassuolo are both said to be monitoring his situation.

New manager Zdenek Zeman is reportedly interested in bringing Antonio Balzano to the club, while they have also been linked with Inter Milan midfielder Ruben Botta.

Cesena

Newly-promoted Cesena have bolstered their squad with the addition of five new signings this week. Guido Marilungo, Luigi Giorgi, Daniele Capelli and Riccardo Cazzola have all joined on loan from Atalanta, while Emmanuel Cascione returns on a permanent basis from Parma, after a successful spell at the club last season.

A loan move for Juventus goalkeeper Nicola Leali has been mooted, but they could face a battle to sign Massimo Ambrosini, with Watford said to be tracking the veteran midfielder.

Chievo

Chievo have announced the signings of three players in the last week. Maxi Lopez has joined the club on a one-year deal from Catania, Edimar Fraga has arrived on a free transfer from CFR Cluj and Riccardo Meggiorini has completed a move from Torino.

Recent reports out of Italy have linked the club with a move for Milan midfielder Valter Birsa, while they are also said to be interested in Alessandro Gazzi, who found his playing time limited at Torino last season.

Fiorentina

If reports coming out of Italy in the last week are to be believed, then a number of players could be on their way out of Fiorentina. As well as the constant speculation surrounding Juan Cuadrado, Spanish winger Joaquin is being linked with a move back to Betis, while Marcos Alonso is apparently on the verge of joining Sunderland.

In other news, they have been strongly liked with Bayern Munich full-back Diego Contento and are said to be interested in signing Adriano from Barcelona.

Genoa

Genoa have completed the expected signing of Diego Perotti from Sevilla. The 25-year-old has been capped twice for Argentina and has joined on a four-year contract. In some more positive news for fans of the club, Mattia Perin has apparently rejected the chance to join Bayern Munich. He was one of the standout goalkeepers in Serie A last season and Genoa will be desperate to keep hold of him this summer.

Meanwhile, Portugal international Eduardo has left the Rossoblu this week. The goalkeeper had been sent out on loan over the past three seasons, but he has now joined Croatian outfit Dinamo Zagreb on a permanent basis.

Hellas Verona

In the past couple of days, Hellas Verona have announced the capture of Greek international Lazaros Christodoulopoulos. The 27-year-old has joined on a three-year contract from Bologna, and had been the subject of much interest following his recent showings at the World Cup.

A productive week in the transfer market has also seen the club sign defender Ivan Martic from St Gallen and goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini from Manchester United. Meanwhile, Marvin Compeer has been linked with a possible transfer to the Gialloblu, but it is believed that the Fiorentina defender would rather move back to Germany.

Inter Milan

Yesterday it was revealed that Inter Milan manager Walter Mazzarri had signed a one-year contract extension with the club. In other news, fresh reports claim that they have agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sign Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, but a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Erik Lamela has failed.

The Nerazzurri are also believed to be on the verge of completing a deal for Yann M'Vila, however they have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Tommaso Berni has signed a one-year contract with the club after leaving Sampdoria.

Juventus

Juventus have completed the signing of Stefano Sturaro from Genoa, but the midfielder has immediately been loaned back to the Rossoblu. Juan Iturbe is another player that could soon be joining the Italian champions, as the club are reported to have tabled an offer for the winger.

However, they could lose Mirko Vucinic, as various reports have suggested that he is on his way to Al Jazira. It has also been rumoured that Patrice Evra has been offered a two-year contract by the club, while they have officially announced the capture of French youngster Kingsley Coman on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Lazio

It has been a busy week for Lazio, who have completed a triple swoop in the transfer market. Long-term targets Filip Dordevic and Dusan Basta have officially completed their moves to the Stadio Olimpico, while Italy international Marco Parolo has arrived from Parma.

A move for Genoa centre-back Sebastien De Maio has been rumoured, while it has also been reported that Uruguay international Alvaro Gonzalez has met with Fulham for talks over a possible switch to Craven Cottage.

Napoli

Napoli have reportedly made Lyon an offer of £10m for Maxime Gonalons, but the French club have publicly stated that the midfielder will be staying with them next season.

A move for Parma defender Gabriel Paletta has been rumoured and it seems that the club are still interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro. The player that looks most likely to be arriving in Naples this summer is Michu, as the Swansea City forward has reportedly undergone a medical with the club.

Palermo

In the past week, Kyle Lafferty has completed his much-expected move to Norwich City.

Antonio Mirante, who is co-owned by Palermo and Fiorentina, is also expected to leave, with Monaco said to be leading the chase for the goalkeeper.

Parma

Parma may have lost midfielder Marco Parolo to Lazio, but they have agreed a deal with Hoffenheim to sign Afriyie Acquah. The Ghana international spent last season on loan at the Gialloblu and impressed enough to earn a permanent move.

The club have also signed Daniele Casiraghi, after agreeing to a swap deal with Lecce involving Abdou Doumbia, while Sydney FC are said to be interested in their Brazilian striker Amauri.

Roma

Roma have reportedly agreed to sell Mehdi Benatia to Manchester City, but they are unwilling to let the defender leave if they cannot find a suitable replacement. Mattia Destro could also be on his way out of the capital club, with Wolfsburg said to have made a big-money offer for the striker.

Destro's departure would leave a vacant space upfront and it has been reported that the club are in talks with Samuel Eto'o over a possible transfer. Paris Saint-Germain youngster Adrien Rabiot has also been linked with the Giallorossi, but it appears they may lose out on his signature to Juventus.

Sampdoria

It looks like Sampdoria will face a battle to keep hold of Shkodran Mustafi this summer. The 22-year-old is currently part of the Germany squad at the World Cup and he is believed to have attracted the interest of Milan, Juventus and Inter.

The club are also reportedly interested in Inter midfielder Rene Krhin, but the future of Pedro Obiang looks uncertain, with Milan said to be keen on bringing him to the San Siro.

Sassuolo

It has been a quiet week in the transfer market for Sassuolo after completing a number of important signings last month, but they have apparently met with Genoa for talks over the transfer of Croatian international Sime Vrsaljko.

Lecce goalkeeper Massimiliano Benassi is also said to be a target for the Neroverdi, while Federico Peluso is thought to be on the verge of a move from Juventus.

Torino

Omar El Kaddouri has rejoined Torino on loan from Napoli. The Morocco international spent last season in Turin before returning to Naples, but the clubs have agreed a deal that includes an option for the move to be made permanent at the end of the campaign.

They have also brought Marco Benassi to the club, after agreeing to a co-ownership deal with Inter, while Antonio Nocerino has joined on loan from Milan.

Udinese

Udinese have loaned out Matej Vydra to Watford for the second time. The striker netted 24 goals in his previous spell for the Hornets two seasons ago, but he endured a frustrating time at West Bromwich Albion in the last campaign.

Meanwhile, fresh reports coming out of Italy have suggested that the club are interested in signing Colombian international Alexander Mejia. The 25-year-old currently plays for Atletico Nacional, but after impressing in the World Cup he has garnered the attention of the Bianconeri.
