Phil Taylor denies Raymond van Barneveld fallout

Taylor denies Barney fallout

Phil Taylor has attempted to play down his on-stage confrontation with Raymond van Barneveld.

The Power appeared to exchange angry words with the Dutchman after the pair shook hands following last night's PDC World Championship semi-final, which Taylor won 6-4.

However, the 15-time world champion insists that the incident was not serious.

"Nothing went on," he told Sky Sports News. "None of us wanted to lose that. He was brilliant there. He stuck in there.

"I said to Raymond backstage, 'there's nobody in this room who's a bigger fan of you than I am'. We're not going to fall out about anything. It's forgotten. It's done."

Taylor has now beaten Barney in each of their last four meetings in major competitions.
