England struggle in Mumbai as India take control of fourth Test

India build up a 51-run lead as they end their first innings on 451-7 in Mumbai, leaving England with plenty of work to do in the fourth Test.

Virat Kohli and Murali Vijay both scored centuries to help put India in control on day three of the fourth Test against England in Mumbai.

The tourists took Cheteshwar Pujara for 47 runs from the second ball of Saturday's morning session, but Vijay added 136 and Kohli 147 to give their side some breathing space.

After struggling to hold off India's fightback on day two, England battled well in an attempt to grab the upper hand - Pujara joining KL Rahul (24) in being dismissed.

Kohli's composure at the crease proved to be key, though, as he helped build up India's first-innings score after England took three wickets for 28 runs.

Karun Nair (13), Parthiv Patel (15) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0) all struggled with the bat, while Ravindra Jadeja also went for 25 before the end of the fourth day, but the Men in Blue ended on 451-7 to take a 51-run lead into Sunday.
