Andrew Strauss: 'England team is the victim'

Former England captain Andrew Strauss feels that the national team is the victim of the revelations made by Kevin Pietersen and the ECB over the past week.

Andrew Strauss believes that the integrity of the England team has taken a massive knock following revelations made by Kevin Pietersen in his autobiography, along with other claims made by the ECB.

Pietersen hit out at former coach Andy Flower and Matt Prior in his autobiography as he feels that he was victimised in the England dressing room.

Meanwhile, a dossier compiled by the ECB was leaked this week, which highlighted several alleged incidents of disruptive behaviour involving the 34-year-old on the ill-fated Ashes tour last year.

"The victim here really isn't Kevin Pietersen, or Flower or Prior," former England captain Strauss told Sky Sports News. It's actually the England team."

Pietersen made 104 Test appearances for England after making his debut in 2005.
