Steven Finn to remain in India

England have decided against sending injured seamer Steven Finn home from their tour of India.

Finn, who sat out of the first Test which England lost by nine wickets, will play no part in the second Test because of a thigh injury.

However, he will represent the England Performance Programme squad in a three-day match in Mumbai next week to test his fitness.

An ECB official confirmed: "Steven Finn is to remain in Mumbai to continue rehab with view to playing for EPP 27-29 Nov at DY Patil Stadium."

The second Test begins on Friday.
