No play on first day at Headingley

Persistent rain has prevented any action between England and New Zealand on day one of the second Test at Headingley.

The day began with the toss being delayed due to the wet weather, which has continued throughout the afternoon.

After several pitch inspections by the umpires the decision was made to take tea early.

There must be at least 90 minutes of dry weather to make the ground suitable for action.
