West Indies will now play a Test at Lord's on their 2012 tour of England, the England and Wales Cricket Board has confirmed.
The match was originally scheduled to take place at Glamorgan's Swalec Stadium in Cardiff.
However, the tender process was reopened after the Welsh county was late in paying the staging fee for hosting a Test during England's recent series with Sri Lanka.
"The ECB today announce that MCC have been awarded the England v West Indies Test match at Lord's in 2012 following a competitive tender process for bids by international venues," a statement on the ECB website said.
"The match, which had originally been awarded to Glamorgan, was put back to tender last month after the club advised the ECB that it would be late in making its payment of the staging fee for hosting the recent England v Sri Lanka npower Test match in Cardiff."
The Windies are due to visit England in May and June next summer.
