Steven Finn has outside chance of making England's first Test against India?

England's Steven Finn reportedly practises at the nets in Ahmedabad today, sparking suggestions that the bowler is closing in on a return from a thigh injury and could face India next week.

England fast-bowler Steven Finn could reportedly have a slight chance of being fit for his Test side's first match against India next week.

The 23-year-old has been expected to be sidelined for the opening Test of the series due to a hamstring injury that he picked up during England's warm-up matches.

Despite initial fears, Finn was seen bowling at the nets in Ahmedabad today, which has sparked suggestions that he may be fit to play in six days' time, according to BBC Radio Five Live.

Meanwhile, Stuart Broad has also emerged as a doubt due to a heel injury.
